Global Health Policy and Health Systems Research
The Global Health Policy and Health Systems research programme is a joint initiative of WOTRO Science for Global Development, the Netherlands Platform for Global Health Policy and Health Systems Research and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health, Welfare and Sport. The Global Health Policy and Health Systems (GHPHS) research programme will fund excellent health policy and health systems research. It will give priority to research that demonstrates how health systems can be improved, and how improved health systems can contribute to reaching the Millennium Development Goals.
The aims of the Global Health Policy and Health Systems (GHPHS) research programme are to 1) contribute to better health by conducting research aimed at strengthening health systems in low-income countries (LICs), 2) strengthen research capacity in LICs (geographic priority is given to Africa) and 3) strengthen the collaboration in the Dutch research and knowledge community in order to enhance utilisation of the Dutch research capacity.
